Akiva Gross

Akiva Gross earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2006 and his Masters of Business Administration from the Merrick School of Business in 2007. After graduation, he started his legal career as an associate at a general practice law-firm in Towson, Maryland where he was immediately entrusted with leading a heavy caseload of civil and criminal cases. Among his first cases was an appeal before the Court of Appeals of Maryland, the State’s highest court, where he performed oral argument before a panel of seven judges. Akiva started A.Y. Gross Law, LLC in November 2007, in order to bring his client’s the personal attention and focus that he felt they deserved. His areas of focus include civil and business litigation, criminal defense, and appellate practice, and has earned a reputation as one of the most trustworthy and experienced attorneys in Maryland.

Prior to attending law school, Akiva managed numerous employees and was responsible for the monthly inventory of the largest diamond importer in North America located in New York City. He was selected to run one of the corporation’s five departments before leaving the diamond and jewelry industry for a career in law.

Throughout his eleven years of legal practice, Akiva has earned a reputation for his rigorous litigation approach, exceptional negotiation skills, and focus on building a trustworthy, honest relationship with each one of his clients. His unique combination of business and legal experience has enabled him to serve both corporate and individual clients, and his criminal law experience and expertise has helped clients facing charges both complex and small. He has represented clients in nearly every region in Maryland, including Baltimore City, Anne Arundel, and Baltimore, Howard and Harford Counties, as well as Federal court and has argued before the Court of Appeals and Court of Special Appeals of Maryland. 

In 2015, Akiva also received a national recognition as one of the National Academy of Criminal Defense Attorneys’ (NACDA) “Top 10 Under 40 Attorney Award,” honoring his exceptional contributions to the field of criminal law. He has also been named a Rising Star, a designation awarded only to the most prominent attorneys in Maryland, by Maryland Super Lawyers.

Rosa Gross

In 2004, Rosa Gross graduated magna cum laude from Sy Syms School of Business in New York City where she earned a bachelor of science, as well as associate degree from Stern College for Women. While at university, Rosa excelled in many academic arenas, including winning second place in the prestigious Dr. William Schwartz Business Plan Competition.  

In 2007, Rosa Gross received her Juris Doctor cum laude from the University of Baltimore School of Law, along with her Masters in Business Administration from the Merrick School of Business. After graduating law school she clerked for the Honorable Ronald A. Silkworth in the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County, Maryland. Following her judicial clerkship she took an associate position at a downtown law-firm where she focused on complex federal ERISA litigation. From there, Rosa joined a boutique corporate transactional law firm where she focused on corporate transactions, employment and labor law, ERISA, and trusts and estates. Rosa is also licensed to practice law in the State of New Jersey. Rosa joined A. Y. Gross Law, LLC in 2015 to pursue her passion of litigating appeals in the State appellate courts.

In her work as one of the most promising attorneys in Maryland, Rosa has briefed and argued numerous cases before the Court of Special Appeals and Court of Appeals of Maryland. She has earned a reputation as a tenacious appellate attorney willing to tackle the most difficult cases. Rosa also continues to handle various corporate and employment matters.

Akiva is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, Baltimore County Bar Association and the Maryland Criminal Defense Attorney Association (MCDAA). In addition, he is proud to be a member of the Civil Justice Network, a Maryland non-profit organization, that helps provide legal access and representation for indigent or low-income clients across the state.
